So I've wanted to try out Google Chrome on Fedora, but I'm kind of a purist in that I only like to install software on my workstation that comes packaged in an RPM. Many times if software is not available in RPM format I'll build my own with our in-house Koji buildsystem. Koji is the same system that the Fedora Project uses to build it's packages (http://koji.fedoraproject.org).

Well it looks as if Tom "Spot" Callaway (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/TomCallaway) of the Fedora Project has been busy creating Fedora RPMs of Google Chromium, the open source tree of Google Chrome (http://www.chromium.org).

You can grab the RPM packages here:

It also looks like Chromium is now part of the Fedora yum repositories so a simple


yum install chromium


should also do the trick. I'm actually writing this post through Chromium on my Fedora 11 workstation.
